Local News

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN)  2 people are hospitalized, 1 with serious injuries, after a car crash on South Dixie Drive. A car heading northbound sped through a red light and hit a car that was stopped at Dorothy Lane. The impact of the crash sent both cars nearly into the parking lot of the Golden Nugget.

Officers say the car that ran the red light was going quote “excessively fast.” Police also say video of the crash may be released.

Sgt. Larry Warren of the Kettering Police Department says, “Some of our intersections have cameras, so we were able to see it from our cameras. And the owner of the Golden Nugget gave us a view of the street as well. It did show the t-bone crash of the northbound vehicle hitting the westbound vehicle.”

In addition to the hospitalizations, a dog was also inside the car that was hit. That dog was uninjured in the crash.
