SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – Two people are facing charges after a Springfield toddler died of dehydration back in January.

33-year-old Brandon Beedy and 27-year-old Caitlyn Heinzen are charged with involuntary manslaughter and endangering children.

Officers responded to a home in the 1900 block of Kenton Street on January 12, 2019, for reports of an unresponsive child.

Upon arrival, they found the body of 21-month-old Camden Beedy. Further investigation revealed that he died of dehydration.

Investigators charged both Beedy and Heinzen Friday afternoon in connection with the death.
