DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – 19-year-old Levi Dalton Lambert has been indicted for the shooting death of Evan Lewis on August 5 in Huber Heights.
The Montgomery County Grand Jury indicted Lambert for:
- Two counts of Murder
- One count of Improperly Discharging a Firearm At or Into a Habitation
- One count of Felonious Assault with a deadly weapon
- One count of Felonious Assault causing serious physical harm
- Once count of Tampering with Evidence
Each of the charges have 3-year Firearm Specifications attached to them.
Huber Heights authorities responded to a report of a shooting on Hilgeford Road on August 5. Upon arrival, Evan Lewis was found laying in the street near Bellefontaine Road.
He was treated for his injuries but was later pronounced dead.
Witnesses were able to describe Lambert and the direction he fled. Officers were able to locate him a few minutes later in a field behind homes on Powell Road. He was taken into custody without incident.
Lambert is currently being held in custody in the Montgomery County Jail and is being held on a $1,000,000 bond. He will be arraigned on August 21, 2018.
