DAYTON (WDTN) – A single-vehicle crash shut down all southbound lanes of I-75 for more than an hour on Thursday morning.

It happened just after 6:30 a.m. on Thursday.

A man driving a pickup truck on I-75 southbound smashed into the median at the exit ramp for I-35. The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but the vehicle was badly damaged.

The driver spoke to WDTN off camera and said he was driving south on I-75 when he missed the exit for I-35. He tried to swerve onto the ramp at the last moment, striking the median.

Police shutdown all lanes of traffic to clean-up the scene, routing traffic onto the I-35 ramp. All lanes of I-75 southbound reopened around 8 a.m.
