CLAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Hoke Road in Clayton has reopened after a semi crashed down an embankment early on Monday morning.
The road had been closed in both directions for nearly five hours, after the crash happened around 3:30 a.m. on Monday.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a semi was exiting I-70 onto Hoke Road when the crash happened.
OSP says the semi drove across the road, through the intersection, and through a guardrail. The semi ended up halfway off the road with the cab hanging over an embankment.
The driver of the semi wasn’t hurt. OSP is investigating to determine what led to the crash.
No lanes of I-70 were affected by the crash, although the ramp from I-70 westbound to Hoke Road remains closed as crews work to clear the scene..
