The once empty GM plant is now thriving manufacturing company with nearly 2000 employees.

“I’m constantly amazed at how extraordinary this facility is and even today driving in, the first thought I had was, what a fantastic huge place.  I’m really excited to be a part of what is really great news for Montgomery County,” Ohio Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor said.

“This plant investment could have gone anywhere.  Fuyoa could have invested this anywhere around the world and they chose right here in Moraine, Ohio,” 10th District Representative Mike Turner said.

Fuyao’s Chairman Cho Tak Wong said, in time, he expects the Moraine plant to have 3,000 employees now that it’s fully operational.

“This is a big deal for Dayton.  We’re going to see more examples of this bringing the Miami Valley back and it’s what manufacturing is all about and what job growth is all about,” Senator Sherrod Brown said.

In total, Fuyao has invested $1 billion in facilities across the United States, including Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and South Carolina.
