DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A non-profit group is expanding in the Miami Valley.

The Good Neighbor House wants more people to take advantage of its services.

The group is now opening its downtown facility every fourth Saturday of the month.

The expanded hours of 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. is for pantry services.

Organizers with the Good Neighbor House said there was a big turnout for the first Saturday opening.

“These are my brothers and sisters,” said Tiffany Collie, Director of Operations for Good Neighbor House. “To be able to offer these saturday serivces to those who may not be able to get to us throughout the week, that’s what we are supposed to be doing.”

In addition to helping stock kitchens, Good Neighbor House also provides clothing, household products, medical services, and financial education programs to those who qualify.
