Frigid air invades the Miami Valley: Wind chills 5 above to 10 below zero today

******WIND CHILL ADVISORY FROM 11 PM TONIGHT TO 11 AM SUNDAY******

Bitterly cold arctic air will affect the Miami Valley through the New Year.  Just the slightest breeze will give wind chill values as cold as -15 this evening and overnight.  Winds tonight will be out of the northwest about 5-10 mph.

TONIGHT:  Partly cloudy.  Frigid. Low -1  Wind chills – 5 to -15

SUNDAY: Partly mostly cloudy and very cold. A passing flurry is possible. High 11  Wind chills 0 to -15

NEW YEAR’S EVE: Partly cloudy and bitterly cold. Low -3  Wind Chills 0 to -15

NEW YEAR’S DAY:  Unseasonably cold.  High near 10 above.  Wind chills in the single digits to the single digits below zero.

High pressure will build into the Ohio Valley tonight and bring in Arctic air for the New Year.  Highs will be around 10 above and lows generally below zero through Tuesday.
