12:30 PM UPDATE: Thousands of AES Ohio customers are still without power after severe weather passed through the Miami Valley Friday night. The NWS said strong to severe storms are expected to redevelop later this afternoon and evening.

9:30 AM UPDATE: The National Weather Service said to use extra caution on the roadways as there is still a lot of high water and debris from the storms.

Heavy rain has been ongoing across the Miami Valley this morning. Many areas have seen 1-3″ of rain already but an additional 1-3″ is possible with morning showers and storms. A break in the rain is likely this afternoon followed by another chance of late afternoon and evening showers and storms.
