Elderly Woman held at gunpoint during Harrison Twp burglary


HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — A woman was held at gunpoint during a home invasion burglary on Friday morning.

Police responded to a call at 3:05 a.m. on Friday in the 300 block of Park End Drive.

An 86-year-old woman called police and said she was asleep men two broke into her home and held her at gunpoint for 30 minutes while they burglarized her home.

The woman was not injured during the burglary.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says the suspects entered the house through a bathroom window.

She said the burglars were men wearing all black with white gloves. They were wearing masks.

The victim says the suspects demanded money and credit cards. The Sheriff’s Office says the suspects took an unknown amount of money and left through the back door of the house on foot.

The victim said the burglars gave her back her cellphone and told her to call 911. She said they also wished her well and hoped her family would take care of her.

Sheriff’s Deputies searched the area with assistance of the Huber Heights K-9 unit, but were unable to locate any suspects.

The special investigations unit of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the break-in.
