TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) — A man is in custody after a domestic violence call escalated to a SWAT standoff at a Trotwood home Monday.

Eric Wilson, chief of the Trotwood Police Department, said officers were sent to a home on N. Northampton Avenue on reports of a man in his late 20s assaulting a woman and holding her against her will for serval hours.

At roughly 6:20 p.m. the Montgomery County Regional SWAT Team took the suspect into custody. The woman was taken by ambulance to an area hospital in stable condition — she suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Trotwood police officers have been called to the home before for domestic violence. According to Wilson, the man is facing multiple charges, possibly assault and kidnapping.
