MORAINE, Ohio (WDTN) — Crews had to shut down I-75 due to a chain-reaction crash involving 4 vehicles late Sunday night.

The initial crash happened on I-75 NB just south of Edwin C. Moses Blvd around 11:45 p.m.

Crews on scene said 2 cars crashed in the northbound lanes, hitting the barrier in the median of the highway. The impact pushed the barrier into the southbound lanes, causing 2 other cars to crash.

One of the cars flipped and one person was trapped. That person got out safely. Three people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

All lanes have since reopened.
