MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WDTN) – A pair of crashes just minutes and miles apart slowed traffic on I-75 northbound near Middletown on Monday morning.
The first crash happened just before midnight on Sunday, involving a semi and two cars.
Two people were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. Ohio State Highway Patrol says the cause of the crash was assured clear distance.
Just minutes later and a few exits away, another crash happened involving a car and semi. That crash happened around 12:10 a.m. on Monday
OSP says there were only minor injuries with the second crash. The cause of that accident was also assured clear distance and the driver of the car was arrested for OVI.
The first crash closed all but the right hand lane of I-75 northbound, while the second crash affected only the right hand lane.
Both scenes were cleared and all lanes were reopened by 1:40 a.m. on Monday.
