Cold Case: 33-year-old Tony Powell

News

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – Sheriff Rob Streck sat down with 2 NEWS Wednesday to talk about a cold murder case that he hopes the community can help solve.

On December 9th, 2016, 33-year-old Tony Powell was found on the side of road near 6240 Dayton-Liberty Road with multiple gunshot wounds.

“We’re here asking the community for help,” pleads Sheriff Streck. “Any information could be that final piece of the puzzle that we need.”

While the detectives have gotten close to solving the case, there is still a missing link that will allow them to fit the pieces together and hopefully bring the case to court.

“We need to bring it to an end. We need closure, and especially we need the people who’ve committed these crimes to answer for what they’ve done,” asserts Sheriff Streck.

If you have any information, you can contact the Montgomery County Sheriff Facebook page, call the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office, or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 222-STOP. There may be a reward involved.
