COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (WDTN) –  After an E.Coli outbreak and norovirus cases last year sent sales plunging, Chipotle is trying to rewrite their story by launching a new summer rewards program.

“Chiptopia” starts Friday and runs through September.

The three-month program has three levels – Mild, Medium and Hot. For each level, you have to buy a certain amount of food before getting a free meal.

If you achieve “Hot” status for all three months – meaning you buy 11 meals at around $6 each per month – you’ll get free catering for up to $20.

But keep in mind only one purchase a day will count.

You’ll also get free chips and guacamole on your first purchase with the card.
