TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) — Officials will be holding a checkpoint to deter drunk drivers.

It will start at 7 p.m. Saturday in the 4800 block of Salem Avenue.

The Trotwood Police Department, Dayton Police Department, and the Montgomery County Combined Agency OVI Task Force are teaming up to hold the checkpoint.

There will also be saturation patrols in the area.

The Montgomery County OVI Task Force said there will be various saturation patrols throughout the month of May, which is when the “Click It or Ticket” campaign kicks off.

Officials warn, if you plan to drink, designate a sober driver.
