Car from TV sitcom ‘Bewitched’ up for auction after son dies at war

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – A car used in the hit television show “Bewitched” will be up for auction on Saturday as a Tennessee couple attempts to move on three years after losing their son in Afghanistan.

Jim and Jan Edens purchased the 1967 Impala convertible in 2007. Click here to see photos of the classic Impala.

“Samantha and Darrin actually drove this car in the TV series,” Jim said. “Every nut and bolt on the car is original.”

The couple said they enjoyed driving the car and taking it to car shows before their son Jason was killed overseas six weeks before he was due home.

“They got ambushed in Afghanistan,” Jim said. “After that event happened we kind of lost interest in going to the car shows and stuff. What decided to do is take a different direction in our lives after losing Jason. It’s life changing when you lose a son.”

In addition to the famous Chevrolet, a 1950 Ford pickup truck, a juke box and vintage kid pedal cars will also be auctioned off Saturday.

The auction begins at 10 a.m. at 1016 Moran Road.
