(KBJR) Temperatures didn’t hit double digits on Tuesday in Duluth, Minnesota, but that failed to stop some residents from going out in the arctic weather.
One local woman braved the frigid temperatures to ring a bell, and volunteer her time for the Salvation Army.
“I dressed in layers and I just kind of keep moving. Ringing the bell helps too, kind of keeps you a little bit warm. Then I step inside to warm up and get some coffee when I need to,” said volunteer Kathy Ameel.
Meteorologists say that the cold spell could last until next week, with wind chills dipping deep into negative temperatures.
