Artemis Center sees increase after domestic violence Super Bowl ad

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Artemis Center, which helps people get out of those violent situations, is seeing an increase since the Super Bowl ad shining a light on domestic violence.

Executive Director Judy Strnad said that Mondays are typically busy for them, but the Monday after the Super Bowl drew more people than usual. She says they are used to an increase after most major holidays.  She believes the increase is because of the domestic violence ad from that ran during the game.

“I think it really gave people a visual of how they can seek help from 911,” said Strnad.

Stmad also said she hopes the ad and work they’ve done in the community will continue to encourage victims of domestic violence to come forward.

If you or someone you know needs help getting out of a domestic violence situation, you can call the Artemis Center hotline at (937) 222-7233.
