DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The Montgomery County Coroner has identified the suspect who died in an attempted robbery at an AutoZone.
According to Sgt. James Gallagher with the Dayton Police Department, officers responded to a robbery in progress at the AutoZone on the 3800 block of West Third Street just before 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 17.
Lt. Steve Bauer reported that when the suspect entered the store, he fired one round into the ceiling and threatened the worker with his gun. An armed security officer working at the business confronted the man and shot him. The suspect died as a result of his injuries.
The Montgomery County Coroner identified the suspect as 32-year-old Justin Glover.
This incident remains under investigation and the evidence will be presented to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
