DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The Montgomery County Combined Agency OVI Task Force released results from its sobriety checkpoint overnight.
The checkpoint was held in the area of South Main Street and East Stewart Street from 9 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday.
According to officials, of the 330 vehicles that passed through the checkpoint, nine were diverted, but none were arrested.
One driver was arrested for OVI in the area during saturation patrols. There was one other arrest. Twenty-four people were issued warnings.
In 2015, there were 613 alcohol-related crashes in Montgomery County alone. Those crashes killed 21 people and injured 239.
Officials warn, if you plan to drink, designate a sober driver.
