DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Tipping culture has expanded, and you may find yourself wondering why you’re leaving a tip. Thomas Farley, also known as Mister Manners, shared some tips on how to recognize tip-flation and best practices in avoiding unnecessary fees.

Thomas shared some advice:

  • Tip servers and bar tenders
  • Don’t feel like you need to guilt tip
  • If you have change, or you feel like the employees deserve it, reward it accordingly
