DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – As we enter the Lenten season, what better way to celebrate than with Frisch’s Big Boy on National Tartar Sauce Day! Chef John Zenk and Jordin Nabi shared some fishy facts!

National Tartar Sauce Day was founded in Cincinnati six years ago to celebrate Frisch’s famous fish sandwich made with two sustainably sourced Alaskan cod filets and our Frisch’s Original Tartar Sauce.

For a limited time only, they have created an impressive crispy Stacked Fish and Spicy Fish Sandwich built “Big Boy style.” This sandwich is made with an impressive stack: two pieces of fish, two slices of cheese, tartar sauce, lettuce, pickle, all on a double decker bun. The Spicy Stacked Fish sandwich has spicy tartar and pepper jack to kick up the heat.

On Friday nights during Lent, bring the family to their Seafood Bar with crispy buttermilk popcorn shrimp, beer battered fish filets, Crab Cakes, Seafood Salad, Tuna Salad, Kettle batch soup and scratch made salad dressings made in Frisch’s kitchen and Carrot Cake baked in Frisch’s own kitchen.
