WDTN-TV kicked off its 40th annual Food for Friends campaign Wednesday, November 10, and will run through Friday, December 24th, with our partner Kroger.
Due to safety protocols, the familiar barrels will again not be placed in area Kroger stores.
Those interested in helping our neighbors can donate right here by clicking the button below. Also, look for the flyers posted at your Kroger register when you check out. Scan the QR Code and make a monetary donation right from your phone.
“Our local food banks continue to be the lifeblood for so many Miami Valley families struggling with food insecurities,” said Joe Abouzeid, WDTN-TV Vice President & General Manager. “For 40 years our friends and neighbors have stepped up and helped those in need and we ask for your support again this holiday season.”
Since 1982, the Food for Friends campaign has collected and distributed over 14 million food items to families in need through The Foodbank of Dayton and other food pantries throughout the Miami Valley.
Every dollar raised online will go directly to our local food banks.
