Zac Pitts

Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Zac Pitts joined the 2 NEWS TODAY team as an anchor in October of 2021. Previously, he hosted “Living Dayton” for five years.

Zac attended Chaminade-Julienne High School and graduated from The University of Dayton with a degree in Electronic Media Communications.

You may have seen Zac years ago on Dayton’s CW. He appeared on-air as “Zac the Intern” and blogged about shows on Dayton’s CW. He’s thrilled to work at the station where he got his “foot in the door” in TV. He worked at WDTN-TV shortly after graduating as a “production assistant”. In other words, he basically started his career running the teleprompter for longtime anchor, Mark Allan!

After some time behind the scenes, Zac took his first (paid) on-air job at WLIO-TV in Lima as a morning anchor/reporter. Shortly after that, his career took him farther north to Toledo where he spent two years as a morning reporter at WTVG-TV.

When Zac’s not working he enjoys playing guitar, recording music and being an advocate for the Miami Valley’s music scene.
