Lauren started at 2 NEWS in June of 2020. A Detroit native, Lauren is excited to continue her career in Dayton, less than four hours from home. Before moving to Ohio, Lauren worked as an anchor and general assignment reporter at WBKB news in Alpena, Michigan.
Prior to starting her career in news, Lauren majored in professional communication and minored in marketing at the University of Michigan – Flint, where she graduated with honors in 2018. While in school, Lauren began exploring her passion for journalism by interning at Fox 2 News in Detroit, writing for Rolling Out Magazine, and working at CNN’s 2016 democratic debate in Flint.
In her spare time, Lauren loves to stay active and try new things. Some of Lauren’s favorite activities include boxing, traveling, binge-watching shows on Netflix, eating and cooking new recipes.
