Aliah Williamson traveled from the mountains of Maryland to join WDTN in May of 2019. She is so happy to become an Ohioan. As a military child, she has moved from state to state but is now ready to call Ohio home.
Aliah spent the last two years as a reporter and anchor in Hagerstown, Maryland just an hour away from the nation’s Capitol. Aliah enjoys telling a good story that helps make a change in the community or impacts a person’s life.
Aliah loves to share that she graduated from Hampton University, a Historically Black College/University (HBCU) in Hampton, Virginia. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from her Home by the Sea with a degree in Journalism.
When she’s not working, Aliah loves being outside anywhere near water, watching the latest blockbuster film at a movie theater or exploring Ohio with her fiance. She is hoping to become a part of the Greater Dayton community by volunteering with groups such as the Boys and Girls Club or other organizations that inspire the youth of Dayton. If you have a story idea or an opportunity to help Aliah get involved, email her or reach out via social media:
