Aaliyah joined the 2 NEWS team as a reporter in July 2023. She was born and raised in Lake Mary, Florida, and loves to travel to different beaches and theme parks in her home state. She graduated magna cum laude from Howard University where she studied Broadcast Journalism and Spanish.
At Howard University, Aaliyah wrote for The Hilltop Newspaper, the nation’s oldest Black collegiate newspaper. She also worked at WUSA9 in Washington, D.C., as a production assistant.
In her free time, she enjoys seeing live music and spending time with her family. Aaliyah is very excited to get out in the community and connect with the people of the Dayton area.
