COLUMBUS, Ohio (WDTN) - A new report suggests a direct link between poverty and student performance in school.
This comes after the release of Ohio's new school grading system.
The study from three Ohio education coalitions suggests that school districts with the highest performance scores this year also have the highest average income.
They also have more residents with college degrees.
Ohio's 123 suburban school districts also finished higher than the state's urban districts.
