TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) - A prayer vigil was held for a man who police say was murdered by his father.
Royal Garrett Junior, 37, was shot and killed in Trotwood on Wednesday, October 16 at an apartment building on Autumn Woods Drive.
According to officers, the victim's father, 64-year-old Royal Garrett Senior told police his son came home drunk and they got into an argument. Police say Garrett Senior then fatally shot his son.
Saturday afternoon, folks gathered at the site where the victim died to offer their prayers to him.
Royal Garrett Senior has been charged with his son's murder. His arraignment is set for Tuesday, October 29.
