DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A former civil rights leader serving time for theft is out of jail.
Raleigh Trammell has been released from the Montgomery County Jail pending an appeal hearing.
He disputes the July jury decision that convicted him on 51 felony counts related to a scam involving a meal program for the poor and elderly.
Trammell reported to jail a little more than a week ago to begin his 18 month jail sentence.
