PIQUA, Ohio (WDTN) - A patriotic picture posted on a local photographer's Facebook page is getting a lot of attention.
The photograph comes from the Miami County Fair.
Mike Ullery is the chief photographer at the Piqua Daily Call.
He was at the fair last week to take the annual photo of couples who have been married for 50 years or more.
He's been doing it for 20 years, but this year was something special.
When the National Anthem played, everyone in the age group 70 to 90 years old, stood up without a pause, saluted the flag or placed their hand over their heart.
"Those who could not stand, you saw people helping them to their feet. It was a very moving moment to me for the patriotism and love of country those people have developed over their lifetime," said Ullery.
Ullery's photograph has nearly 900 likes so far.
