URBANA TWP., Ohio (WDTN) - A Champaign County pre-school teacher was killed in a one car crash Wednesday morning.
Investigators say Stacey Stoner, 29, was driving north in the 4400 block of Middle Urbana Road, south of Urbana, when she went off the right side of the roadway, over corrected and drove back across to the left side of the roadway. Her car crossed through a yard before going airborne and landing against a tree.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by Champaign County Coroner Josh Richards.
Graham Local Schools' Superintendent Norm Glismann says Stoner was a preschool teacher at the elementary school. She started teaching at the district in 2007. She was reportedly on her way to school at the time of the crash.
Glismann says counselors will be on hand Thursday morning to assist anyone who needs help dealing with her death.
