NEW CARLISLE, Ohio (WDTN) - A New Carlisle man facing foreclosure, is also facing criminalcharges.
Clark County officials said that Steve Doak tried to tear downhis Firwood Drive home after he learned the bank was foreclosing onthe property.
"As far as I'm concerned I am not done yet," Doak said onWednesday. "Not until it's laying completely on the ground."
Deputies were called to Doak's home on Tuesday after neighborsreported that he was driving an SUV through his yard, crashing intofences and walls.
Officials described the scene as extremely dangerous.
They said there were neighbors outside and also Doak could havehit gas or electric lines, potentially causing an explosion.
Doak is now charged with a handful of criminal chargesincluding, inducing panic, disorderly conduct, driving undersuspension and reckless operation.
"His actions last night were completely out of control andunwarranted," said Sheriff Gene Kelly. "This was conduct that wasnot called for."
Sheriff Kelly said he will have extra patrols around Doak'shome, making sure he does not do any additional damage.
The investigation is ongoing and officials said more chargescould be filed in the future.
