SPRINGBORO, Ohio (WDTN) - The Springboro High School football team got some extra attention Monday afternoon when the Cincinnati Bengals came to town.
Head Coach Marvin Lewis met with the Panthers before the Bengals took to the field for some practice time.
Springboro Head Coach Ryan Wilhite says his kids heard a great message. "He told the kids you can't rest on your laurels from a great season last year. You gotta forge your own way in the new season."
Coach Wilhite said the excitement of having the Bengals in town was palpable at the field. "There's extra excitement when the National Football League arrives in your own back yard."
The Springboro Panthers start their season August 30 versus Mason. They will play on their home turf.
