DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Strong to severe storms are possible Friday as a cold front moves through the Miami Valley.
Storm Team 2 Meteorologist Jamie Jarosik says the eastern parts of the Miami Valley are under an elevated risk for severe weather.
"It looks like storms will get going in our area, and then strengthen as they head east," she explains.
Much colder weather will move in after the front passes through, dropping temperatures for the weekend, she explains in her Friday morning blog post.
Storms rumbled through the area early Friday morning bringing winds up to 45 MPH and dumping nearly a half-inch of rain.
A portion of Little York Road in Butler Township is closed to traffic until this evening.
