ST. PARIS, Ohio (WDTN) - A St. Paris man who was brutally beaten with a crowbar is improving.
Austin Thornton, 19, is recovering at a hospital in Toledo.
His aunt says he is sitting up and even asked for some food.
She says a piece of his skull had to be removed to relieve swelling. Doctors are planning to replace the bone next week.
Thornton was assaulted in Huron County, Ohio a week ago at home near Willard, Ohio.
Two men are now charged. Tyler Smith is accused of attempted murder. Connor Holbrook is also charged.
Thornton is a 2012 graduate of Graham High School.
