FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — A conservative group is airing a radio ad on stations across Kentucky attacking Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes on health care reforms.
In the ad, Kentuckians for Strong Leadership attempt to link Grimes to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a proponent for the Affordable Care Act that U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell wants to repeal.
Grimes, seeking the Democratic nomination to run for McConnell's seat, has said she would like to change portions of the health care reforms but that she opposes repealing them altogether.
The narrator in the ad tries to connect Reid and Grimes by pointing out that he is helping her raise money for her Senate race.
