WEST JEFFERSON, Ohio (WDTN) - Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers grabbed more than three pounds of cocaine during a recent traffic stop in Madison County.
Troopers stopped a 2012 Ford Escape for a speed violation on Interstate 70 east of Springfield just after 7a.m. on September 20.
A Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle and a search uncovered 3.3 pounds of cocaine and a Smith and Wesson .380 handgun hidden in the vehicle's dashboard.
A Columbus, Ohio man and an Atlanta, Ga. woman were taken into custody and turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for further investigation and charges.
