FT. RECOVERY, Ohio (WDTN) - The Mercer County Sheriff reports "major progress" in solving the murder of a father and daughter.
We've just learned who may have been responsible for those violent deaths.
The bodies of 70-year-old Robert Grube and 47-year-old Colleen Grube were found November 30th in their home just outside of Fort Recovery.
Neighbors tell us Robert was wheelchair bound. Colleen cared for him.
Officials say the two had been bound with duct tape before being fatally shot.
Friday, Mercer County sheriff Jeff Grey released new details on the case.
He said investigators have narrowed the time of the homicides to a possible two hour window.
He also told us multiple people were present at that time, possibly a man and a woman.
In addition, investigators have conducted more than 70 interviews, followed up on approximately 60 tips, requested the issuance of 46 court orders and subpoenas and served 11 search warrants.
A Toshiba laptop computer is still missing and there were no signs anyone forced their way in to the home.
