BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. (AP) — A school bus has overturned in northeast Kansas and some children have been injured.
The accident occurred Wednesday afternoon in Bonner Springs. A spokeswoman for Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., says the hospital was preparing to receive at least eight children.
Television images showed the bus on its side, with paramedics placing children on stretchers. Other children were walking around.
It was not immediately known which school district was served by the bus, or where it was heading.
Bonner Springs is in Wyandotte County, Kan., about 18 miles west of Kansas City, Mo.
