Man injured in crash with semi on I-75 in Butler County

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) -- A man has been hospitalized after a crash on I-75 in Butler county.

It happened just after 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the northbound lane near milepost 28 in Liberty Township.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 32-year-old Adam Gillie of Springboro was driving north on I-75 when his pickup truck ran off the right side of the road and hit a parked semi.

OSP says Gillie was partially ejected from the vehicle. He was taken by CareFlight to UC Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say Gillie was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. OSP says fatigue appears to be a factor in the crash. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected in the crash.

OSP was assisted by Fairfield Township Fire and EMS, and Liberty Township Fire and EMS.

All lanes of I-75 northbound were shut down during the crash investigation. All lanes have reopened.
