WARREN COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) - Four males, two of them minors, were taken into custody early Tuesday morning after leading police on a chase in a stolen car.
Lt. William Karolyi with the Kettering Police Department said the suspects, along with one other person, stole the vehicle outside an apartment building at 2240 Patterson Boulevard Monday at 6:15 p.m.
The victim, 39-year-old Jerrod York told police he was coming home from the gym when he noticed four suspects blocking the driveway to his apartment building.
He pulled into his parking spot, and the suspects approached him.
According to police, one of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim's head and demanded his keys and his wallet.
"At first he kind of looked at them like 'are you for real,' and you know he's like there's a gun pointed at my head I better listen to them," said Lt. Karolyi.
A Warren County Sheriff's Deputy spotted York's stolen Honda CRV on I-75 Tuesday around 2:30 a.m.
He followed the vehicle into what we originally were told was Middletown, but turns out is in Franklin Township, where the driver turned onto Gregory Drive -- a dead end street.
The five suspects got out of the car and ran, but were tracked down by a police dog and three were taken into custody.
