SPRINGBORO, Ohio (WDTN) - A long time Springboro high school sports booster pleaded guilty to aggravated theft.
Thomas Harves, 61, admitted to embezzlement in Warren County Common Pleas Court.
Prosecutors say Harves cashed more than 300 unauthorized checks from the Spring Athletics Boosters account. The checks total more than $400,000.
Prosecutors say he paid some of the money back.
Harves served as the boosters' president and treasurer during his time with the group. Board members went to the Springboro Police Department in 2012 with their concerns.
The judge ordered a pre-sentencing investigation.
Police say they found no evidence that anyone other than Harves was involved.
