LEBANON, Ohio (WDTN) - Update: The Warren County Sheriff's Department says the man who walked away from a work detail at the Lebanon Correctional Institution was captured at 7:45 pm. They say Stephen Ramey was found on Shaker Road in Turtlecreek Township. State routes 63 and 741 are back open to traffic.
The Warren County Sheriff's Department has shut down a major artery as law enforcement searches for a inmate who walked away from the Lebanon Correctional Institution.
Deputies say State Route 63 in the area of State Route 741 is closed while they search for Stephen Ramey .
A K-9 and a search helicopter are also assisting in the search. Investigators did not say what sent them to that specific area, but did confirm it is Ramey they are after.
Ramey, 35, walked away from a work assignment Tuesday morning. He was working at a garage that sits just outside of the prison's security fence.
He is serving a one year sentence for burglary.
