DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Franklin police have now identified the victim of an industrial accident Tuesday night.
Terry Ray, 48, of Franklin, was killed while working at Cheney Pulp and Paper at 1000 Anderson Street.
Investigators say Ray was operating a Bobcat tractor underneath a spinning roller. The machine struck and killed Ray.
The last fatal accident at the plant was in 1934 when a boiler explosion killed seven people.
Company President Mark Snyder released a statement Wednesday afternoon offering the company's condolences to the Ray family and says the company is cooperating with a full investigation to the accident.
Neighbors reported heavy smoke coming from the home in the 300 block of Lawncrest Avenue in Drexel around 11 a.m.
