SPRINGBORO, Ohio (WDTN) - The people have spoken in the Springboro Community City School District.
Superintendent Gene Lolli reversed his recommendation to move the high school principal to a job at the central office.
Lolli said public outcry did play a part in his decision about Dr. Ronald Malone.
A crowd of Malone supporters showed up at Tuesday night's school board meeting to support keeping Malone at the high school.
The district says it wanted to move Malone to a special projects role for all the schools, so that he could work with struggling buildings.
Critics say it was over "politics" to oust him.
There was not a quorum for a vote by the board, but the superintendent's recommendation reversal is enough to keep Malone at the high school.
