WARREN COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) - The Montgomery County Coroner's Office has confirmed that the victim in a skydiving accident Sunday has died.
Around 7:00 p.m., 58-year-old Clifford Schmucker of Lebanon was injured after colliding with another skydiver in mid-air during a jump in Warren County.
Schmucker's reserve parachute activated and carried him to the ground, where he was found unconscious. Schmucker was taken to Miami Valley Hospital via Care Flight, where he was later pronounced dead.
The other skydiver walked away from the scene. Schmucker and the other victim were both licensed skydivers.
"Eugene Gall needs to spend every single day of the rest of his natural life in the penitentiary," said Prosecutor Mat Heck.
