SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) - A Celina man was injured Monday after he says someone threw a rock into his car from an overpass along Interstate 75 in Shelby County.
Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers tell 2 NEWS the incident happened around 2:20 a..m. Monday as 51-year-old Richard C. Eaton was southbound on I-75 near mile marker 86 when he reported a rock was thrown from the Lockington Road overpass.
The rock smashed through the windshield and broke into pieces.
Troopers found Eaton's car wrecked in a ditch just south of the overpass. During their investigation, they found several pieces of the rock inside the car.
Eaton suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Wilson Memorial Hosptial in Sidney.
One person was injured in a single vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in West Elkton.
