ANNA, Ohio (WDTN) - Embattled Anna Police Chief Scott Evans could learn the fate of his future and the future of the Anna Police Department tonight during their village council meeting.
As 2 News reported, with help from our partners at the Sidney daily news, Chief Evans was placed on administrative leave August 5, accused of dishonesty, incompetency and misconduct in office.
Anna Mayor Bob Anderson said Chief Evans went to the FBI with allegations against members of the Shelby County Sheriff's office and Anna Fire Department without properly investigating first.
According to the Sidney Daily News, the FBI has investigated Evan's claims, which reportedly include public corruption, drug activity, payoffs, arsons and sexual activity involving underage girls, claims Shelby County Sheriff John Lenhart has dismissed as "baseless."

Mayor Anderson says city council could vote to dismiss the charges, suspend or remove Evans from office or disband the police force entirely.
